Cobbler of the Peaches™
Cobbler is like if Pie and Casserole had a baby.
How to do it
- Put the sliced peaches, sugar, and 1 tsp salt into a saucepan
- Cook on medium heat for 2–3 minutes or until the sugar is dissolved
- Remove from heat and set aside
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Place the stick of butter in the casserole dish; place dish in oven while it preheats
- It should melt completely by the time the oven has preheated
- Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl
- Stir in the milk slowly and mix it all
- Should be doughy-ish but slightly less viscous
- Take out the casserole dish and pour the batter over the melted butter and smooth it out
- Spoon the peaches over the batter
- Sprinkle some cinnamon
- Bake for 38–40 minutes
- Take out, cool for a bit but not too much cause it’s best served warm
- Eat
